2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban: Diesel Power Reimagined
The Chevrolet Blazer EV continues to make waves in the electric vehicle market, attracting new customers to GM with a 55% conquest rate. This success has contributed to Chevrolet's ninth consecutive quarter of year-over-year retail sales growth in Q3. The Blazer EV has also been recognized for its value, winning the lowest cost of ownership award in Canada for the mid-size SUV category in the 2024 Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards.
For the 2025 model year, Chevrolet is introducing a range of enhancements to the Blazer EV lineup, offering improved performance and new features across various trim levels.
Performance Upgrades and Expanded Options
The 2025 Blazer EV AWD models see significant improvements in key performance metrics. Range has been extended to 455 km on a full charge, up from 449 km in the previous model year. Horsepower has increased to 300, a boost from 288, while torque now reaches 355 lb-ft, up from 333 lb-ft.
RWD models also benefit from upgrades, with range extending to 538 km, surpassing the previous 521 km. Horsepower in these models has been boosted to 365, up from 340 in the earlier version.
New options for 2025 include Midnight and Sport packages available on the LT trim. Super Cruise technology is now offered on LT and RS AWD models and comes standard on the SS variant. A stylish two-tone roof option has been introduced for LT and RS trims, adding a touch of customization.
Pricing and Trim Levels
The 2025 Blazer EV lineup offers a range of options to suit different preferences and budgets. The LT FWD, starting at $54,499 MSRP, serves as the entry point to the Blazer EV family, offering 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. Moving up, the LT AWD and RS FWD models are priced at $57,999 and $58,199 MSRP, respectively, with the LT AWD benefiting from the upgraded 300 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque.
For those seeking more performance, the RS AWD model comes in at $61,699 MSRP, featuring the same improved specs as the LT AWD. The RS RWD, priced at $64,999 MSRP, offers the extended 538 km range and boosted 365 horsepower. At the top of the range, the high-performance SS AWD model is set to launch in Q1 2025 with a price tag of $69,999 MSRP, boasting an impressive 595 horsepower with Wide Open Watts mode.
The Blazer EV lineup for 2025 will feature a full range of drivetrain options, including FWD, AWD, RWD, and the high-performance SS variant. The FWD model is expected to launch by the end of this year, while the eagerly anticipated SS version is slated for release in Q1 of 2025.
Buyers of new Blazer EVs can take advantage of a $5,000 iZEV incentive, with the possibility of additional provincial EV rebates, making the switch to electric more affordable than ever.
