Chevrolet Trax or Trailblazer: Choosing Your Perfect 2025 Compact SUV
Buick has recently unveiled the 2024 Encore GX, and it's safe to say that the small SUV segment will never be the same again. With a refreshed exterior design, a new tech-focused interior, and the introduction of the Avenir trim, the Encore GX is a modern, sophisticated and stylish take on premium small SUVs.
Refreshed Both Inside and Out
The first thing that catches your eye is its dynamic front-end styling. The brand's new body-mounted tri-shield logo sits prominently on an updated modern grille paired with signature winged LED headlamps. The rear styling features new LED taillights and prominently displayed Buick logo and typography in the center of the tailgate. New 18-inch and 19-inch wheel options are also available.
Inside, you'll find a cabin that blends form with function. The updated interior is centred around Buick's Virtual Cockpit System (VCS), featuring 19 diagonal inches of high-definition screens under one sheet of glass. The largest infotainment screen in its segment at 11 inches diagonal provides a sleek new layout, customizable home screen and easily accessible vehicle categories. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are standard, as well as wireless phone charging.
Soft-touch materials flow throughout the updated interior with unique stitching patterns adding to its premium feel. Avenir and ST logos are stitched into their respective trims' head restraints, while the ST features a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel matching its athletic persona.
Powertrain and Safety Features
Underneath its hood lies a standard 1.3L turbocharged engine that produces 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque with AWD available across all trims equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission, while FWD models come standard with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Safety-wise, Buick has equipped all Encore GX models with six active safety technologies included in their Driver Confidence package, such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, IntelliBeam auto high-beams, among others, while additional available safety features include Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control along Rear Camera Mirror.
If you're looking for luxury in your small SUV experience or just want to elevate your ride game altogether - look no further than the 2024 Buick Encore GX!
