2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban: Diesel Power Reimagined
Chevrolet has unveiled the 2025 Silverado EV, offering an extended range of up to 792 km and introducing new trim levels to cater to a wider customer base. The electric pickup truck will be available in Work Truck (WT), LT, and RST configurations, each with varying features and capabilities.
Enhanced Range and New Trims
The 2025 Silverado EV sets a new benchmark for electric trucks with its Max Range option, providing up to 792 km of estimated range on a full charge. This significant increase addresses one of the primary concerns among potential EV truck buyers.
The expanded lineup now includes the LT trim, bridging the gap between the Work Truck and RST models. The LT trim offers an estimated range of up to 657 km and comes with a host of features designed to appeal to both personal and commercial users.
LT Trim Highlights
The new LT trim boasts impressive specifications, including:
- 300 kW DC fast charging capability
- 765 lb-ft of torque and 645 horsepower in Wide Open Watts mode
- Maximum towing capacity of 12,500 lb and payload of 1,800 lb
- Unique exterior styling with illuminated front gold bowtie
- Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels
- 17.7-inch infotainment screen and 11.3-inch driver display
An available Premium Package for the LT trim adds features such as the Multi-Flex Midgate, Super Cruise capability, and 22-inch machined-face aluminum wheels.
Work Truck and RST Improvements
The Work Truck trim now offers three battery options, allowing customers to choose between Standard Range, Extended Range (up to 679 km), and Max Range (up to 792 km) configurations. This flexibility in range and pricing aims to make the Silverado EV more accessible to a broader range of commercial users.
The RST trim receives an upgrade with two battery pack options, offering a maximum estimated range of up to 740 km on a full charge. It also features exclusive colour options, including Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic.
Pricing and Availability
Chevrolet plans to begin shipping the 2025 Silverado EV in WT, LT, and RST trims before the end of the year. Starting prices range from $63,999 for the Standard Range WT to $117,699 for the Max Range RST. The new LT trim starts at $92,199.
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will be assembled at GM's Factory ZERO in Michigan, a facility that has undergone a $2.2 billion investment for EV production. This launch represents a significant step in Chevrolet's commitment to electric vehicle technology and sustainable transportation solutions.
